DESCRIPTION:Come join us for Wake Up! On August 17\, we'll be hosted by the Puyallup Historical Hatchery Foundation.\n\n\n\nWe'll gather in the Main Hatchery Building but there will be an optional short walking tour afterwards for those interested in visiting the onsite Educational Center and you can even feed the hungry Rainbow Trout!\n\n\n\nOpened in 1949\, the Puyallup Fish Hatchery sits on over 80 acres and welcomes visitors year-round to enjoy its beautiful 80-acre property\, which is listed on both our State and National Historic registries.\n\n\n\nThe hatchery is operated by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife\; the Foundation was created 10+ years ago to partner with the state to provide educational support\, volunteers and a partnership with the Puyallup School District. The hatchery raises over 700\,000 Chinook per year to help with salmon recovery\, along with Coho and trout. \n\n\n\nOur weekly networking offering allows members and prospective members to connect in a casual atmosphere. Wake Up is free and open to Chamber members\, no RSVP required. Prospective members are welcome to attend and learn more about Chamber membership.
