DESCRIPTION:Government Affairs Council (GAC) meetings are open to all members. Come prepared to listen and contribute to the topics of the day. Public and elected officials from our state\, Pierce County\, City of Puyallup and City of Sumner are regularly in attendance. We discuss issues and policies pertinent to business as they relate to government affairs. Guest speakers are brought in to speak on expert matters.\n\n\n\nAt our March GAC meeting\, we've invited the following special guests:\n\n	Chris Eyler\, Executive Director\, NW Region\, U.S. Chamber of Commerce\, will give an update from our nation's capitol.\n	John White\, Puget Sound Gateway Program Administrator\, Washington State Department of Transportation\, will provide an update on the Gateway Program.\n\nMeetings are held (with the occasional exception) the first Tuesday each month\, 8:00am - 9:00am\, virtually via Zoom (since April 2020).\n\n\n\nSince our meetings moved to Zoom\, we have made archived recordings of GAC meetings available on the Chamber's YouTube channel.
