About Us

Amanda Howse Photogpraphy has been in business for 15 wedding seasons now!
Amanda grew up between CA and Hawaii. She has been in WA now for 12 years, but still calls Lake Tahoe “home.”
She is married to her husband Loren, and they’ve been together for 16 years now. They have four beautiful, furry “boys” (their cats named after Harry Potter “Weasley” characters: Fred, George, Ron and Charlie).

Amanda loves love. While attending the University of Nevada Reno (UNR) for her BA in English (with an emphasis in creative writing) and a minor in Photography, Amanda decided to pursue photography as her full time career. She briefly went to Emerson College in Boston, which led her to forgoe her previous idea of being an actress. Amanda then went on to earn her second BA in Professional Photogpraphy with an emphasis in Portraiture from the world acclaimed Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. This brought her life full circle as she had lived in SB before for grades 1-3.

Amanda recently bought a house in Puyallup, WA and her passion is shooting and supporting women & women-owned businesses. She herself is a boss babe, and loves to support others. Amanda has shot for: Girl Power Hour, Chick Chat, The Power of She, Power Chicks, and many other small women businesses. She loves social networking events, shooting people, and has recently found her passion again in shooting High School Senior girls.

Amanda is a member of PPA, and has belonged to numerous photography groups in her career. Her tag line is: “Capturing life so you can live it.”
